Jake Hamid Promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Ipsen, Inc.

Rockford, IL (May 19, 2010) – Dr. Hendrik Grobler, Chairman of Ipsen, Inc. announced today the appointment of Jake Hamid to the position of Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Geoffrey Somary, President and CEO.

During the past several years, as Vice President of Engineering and Supply Chain, Jake has played a key role in leading successful product development initiatives from the concept phase to market implementation. Jake's responsibilities in the new role include continued focus on product development as well as leadership of Ipsen, Inc.'s engineering, purchasing and manufacturing teams.

The Titan product line launched in 2009 is a great example that Hard Work Wins. Ipsen will be bringing even more innovation to the market in the coming months.
