(March 13, 2012, Las Vegas) – Ipsen’s TITAN®Roadshow returns from the Cygnus Aviation Expo in Las Vegas having received many compliments and positive feedback from customers and potential customers on our display.
The Ipsen team had the opportunity to demonstrate the TITAN vacuum heat treat furnace to several companies in the Aviation and Aerospace Industry as well as MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) professionals to share the brazing, hardening, annealing, stress relieving and tempering capabilities of the TITAN thermal processing furnace. Brazing is one of the main processes used in the construction of airplanes, because components are heated uniformly, brazing results in less thermal distortion than welding, and brazing provides the ability to easily join dissimilar metals and non-metals. Brazing is ideally suited to cost-effectively join complex and multi-part assemblies – and with TITAN brazing is made easy.
The TITAN® is an all-new, modular, standardized, skid-mounted heat treating system, is delivered in half the time of competitive furnaces, and is installed in just a few days. Its simple-to-master control system supports multiple languages, provides real-time data acquisition and stores up to a thousand recipes. TITAN®’s small footprint, manufacturing versatility, operational simplicity and financial flexibility (purchase, lease or rent) all add-up to greater profitability and response time. TITAN is Nadcap and AMS2750D certified.
Also on display was Ipsen’s Ivadizer, a physical vapor disposition process used on fasteners and aerospace components, which offers superior corrosion resistance, provides a protective coating without loss of strength to base material and eliminates fatigue reduction of aluminum.
