Frequently Asked Questions
What type of furnaces does HybridCarb® support?
HybridCarb can be installed on batch-type furnaces (Ipsen type TQ- and RTQ- furnaces as well as similar furnaces from other manufacturers). Furnace integrity is a factor when considering HybridCarb application. The furnace tightness must support a low, controlled leak rate and minimal pressure with a specified flow-rate in order to carry out an efficient recirculation and reconditioning of the process gas. Some furnaces may require slight modifications for maximum efficiency and control.
How can I acquire a HybridCarb unit?
Please contact your Ipsen sales representative 800.727.7625 or 815.332.4941.
Can Ipsen determine if my furnace is tight enough for HybridCarb installation?
The Ipsen Aftermarket Support team will conduct prequalification testing for HybridCarb in order to determine if the unit will work on your furnace.
What if my furnace isn't tight enough?
Ipsen's Aftermarket Support team can work with you to determine what is needed to make your furnace tight enough including parts, service and any retrofits or upgrades needed.
